Introduction to Intel oneAPI
When: 21st May: 1pm – 4pm, 22nd & 23rd May: 2pm – 5pm
Where: Remote
Registration closes 5pm on Sunday 19th May
DiRAC has teamed up with Intel to deliver 3 afternoons of introductory training on the Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit – a core set of tools and libraries for developing high-performance, data-centric applications across diverse GPU architectures.
With recently announced UK government investments into GPU-based compute for AI and simulation, and a more general move towards accelerator based systems, the successful refactoring of CPU based codes onto GPU architectures can be critical to future performance and portability.
Delivered by experts from Intel and their training partners Codeplay, this 3 afternoon, lecture-based, virtual course will cover some of the essential concepts and introduce basic skills. The curriculum will include:
- Intel Advisor Tool
- C++ to SYCL
- SYCL Essentials training
- SYCL ibraries – oneMKL, oneDPL and oneDNN
- vTUNE
Registration can be accessed below and closes at 5pm on Sunday 19th May. All researchers at any skill-level are welcome, but places are limited. If you have any questions, please email our Training Manager Richard Regan.
Intel oneAPI 3-day in-person Hackathon: Code development for diverse GPU architectures, 11th to 13th of June
As a follow up to this introductory training event we will also be hosting a 3-day, in-person joint DiRAC-Intel hackathon aimed at giving advanced users the hands-on opportunity to work more closely with the oneAPI Toolkit in the company of Intel experts. Find out more and register here.
