The SNDUST project (PI: Mike Barlow, MHD code: AstroBEAR, Machine: Skylake) investigates the effect of shocks on dust in & around supernova remnants. In this particular new setup we reproduced these really nice Rayleigh–Taylor instabilities forming fillaments both for the outer shock (where material previously expelled from the now exploded star collides with the interstellar medium) and the inner shock (where the supernovae remnant collides with the material around it).
